"Creativity, culture and innovation:looking for new links"

Dear Madam, dear Sir,
The Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union has begun on 1st
July 2010. During this half year, I will have the honour of chairing the
Culture and Audiovisual section of the Education, Youth and Culture Council.
In this context, I am pleased to invite you to attend a seminar entitled
"Creativity, culture and innovation: looking for new links", which will take
place at the Flagey Cultural Centre in Brussels on 8th and 9th September.
This seminar will gather together experts, European associations working in
this sector, cultural organisations and representatives from regional,
national and European institutions.
Organised in collaboration with the European Commission, the seminar will
focus on the innovative dimension of the cultural and creative industries
sector. The objective will be to demonstrate that innovation plays a
significant role in the development of the cultural sector and, inversely,
that culture constitutes a major asset for innovation, from both an economic
and social perspective.
