e-Estonia offers solutions to important problems at global Creative Business Cup

Estonia is represented at the global innovation contest Creative Business Cup (CBC) by PreProduction with a changing e-solution in the clothing industry, Fanvestory with a new model of involving finances and fans, a comfortable digital thermometer developed by TempID and winner of the CBC subcontest ‘eGovernance Solutions’ project PSII (DeepScan), who developed a digital solution for detecting sensitive data from national databases Celebrating the Estonian Presidency of EU and the 100th birthday of the Republic of Estonia, Estonia is the main guest at the Creative Business Cup competition.

Global Creative Business Cup is held in Denmark, Copenhagen for the 6th time already. In addition to the main competition, the so-called topic contests, solutions, will also be held and presentations will be heard from outstanding businessman and politicians.

On November 15, at the Creative Business Cup conference, Member of the Estonian Parliament Taavi Rõivas will speak about Estonian e-governance, e-residence and the digital society.

“Estonia has proved itself as a pioneer in the world of e-services. E-residency is a unique and excellent example of Estonia’s ability, it has shifted thinking, it has put us and number of other countries to think truly globally. Estonia’s e-development allows us to offer solutions both in public and private sectors, in very different areas,” said Parliament member Taavi Rõivas.

At the main competition, Estonia is represented by Pre Production OÜ, whose main goal is to optimize and fasten fashion industry’s product development as well as raise its efficiency. The implementation of this idea makes it possible to bring fashion industry into to the 21st century with production cycle, optimizing time and material cost in the fashion industry processes.

Fanvestory and TempID will present their ideas at the CBC forum and take part of trainings and investor meetings.

“Creative Business Cup values ​​the creative industry input in new products, services and business models. Ideas representing Estonia bring together both creativity and the strength of Estonia’s IT solutions,” said Eva Leemet, Managing Director of Creative Estonia.

To celebrate Estonia’s 100th birthday, Creative Estonia, the Estonian Embassy in Denmark and the Creative Business Cup will host an Estonian-thematic reception with Estonian music on October 16th for all contestants.

Creative Business Cup (CBC) is a global entrepreneurship competition held in Denmark and involving best ideas from over 60 countries with over 600 startups. The competitions aim is to throw attention to the  importance of the creative industries and its role in innovations. Creative Estonia, a Creative and Culture Industries(CCI) info and developing centre is an official representative of Creative Business Cup in Estonia since 2012.

CBC subcontest eGovernance Solutions competition is organised by Creative Estonia, e-Governance Academy, Norden,  Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications  and co-financed  by Estonian Ministry of Culture, Estonian Government Office and Entreprise Estonia (EAS) and funded from European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
