Mediterranean Music EXPO

Panel, showcases, “Meet the author”, Academy, Clinic, exhibition, professional meetings as Face to Face(s), mentoring, studycase are just some of the events that will be held from Thursday October 30 to Saturday November 1 2014 in the four Conference Hall.

As has been the case for previous editions, Medimex fourth edition will offer its visitors plenty of live music performances with an  intense calendar (to be released in the next few weeks) of concerts and showcases of the most interesting Italian and international artists. What is more, the music innovation salon will also host some professional meetings with important stakeholders from festivals, record labels, cultural institutions, music agencies from every corner of the world.

2014 edition
But this year Medimex will also host the first edition of Medimex Music Up, the first ever Italian big event dedicated to music-based makers and startups. An event within an event with a special focus on developing ideas, products and projects intended to change and innovate our way of producing and enjoying music to be held in a thematic area of the exhibition space with the big players of music innovation, the most interesting makers and the most innovative music startups.

On the agenda is also Medimex Kids, an area of the music salon entirely dedicated to junior high school and high school students. This initiative tries to get the world of teenagers closer to the world of music through workshops, training activities and meetings with artists, concerts and projections, panel sessions.

Finally, Medimex will also host the awarding ceremony of the artists selected by the Academy Medimex, the prestigious jury composed of 45 Italian journalists presently at work and tasked with selecting and awarding the best Italian and international productions of the year.
