MIT Global workshopThe MIT GSW is the world’s premier workshop dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship and building entrepreneurial ecosystems globally. Each year in a different location we bring together over 300 entrepreneurial leaders, executives, next generation entrepreneurs, professors, financiers, government agents and private supporters to build connections between cultures, regions and backgrounds. The event takes place 25-27 March in Tallinn.

Since 1998, the MIT GSW has hosted 15 international workshops spanning 6 continents and welcomed participants over 70 nations. The 16th edition of the conference, co-hosted by MIT and Enterprise Estonia (EE), will focus on technological entrepreneuship.

EE and MIT will be bringing top talents all over the world to Estonia, providing an opportunity for quality networking and a chance to obtain unique know-how in order to penetrate the US market.

What are the topics?

In addition to technology – Estonia’s well known strong suit – the 3 days of the conference will cover topics such as biotechnology, electronics and energy production. We will explore opportunities in mobile and imaging technologies, as well as personal health and how to capitalize on big data.

We’ll touch on topics that matter for startups as well as universities, for example how to turn science and studies as well as technologically innovative thinking into lucrative business.

Why participate?

The MIT GSW offers an ideal environment for startups and universities to network with internationally acclaimed investors, entrepreneurs, experts and mentors. Altogether the conference will host around 300 specialists of different fields, challenging all of them to connect the cultures, regions and ideas presented to them.

Who are the speakers?

The speaker line-up varies from esteemed entrepreneurs to successful investors. Jaan Tallinn, one of the founders of Skype, and Steve Jurvetson, the managing director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ), are just a few of the names to take to the stage at the event.
