fomeccFor all those people and organizations interested in cultural and creative industries the Interarts Foundation has recently launched the FOMECC Portal (http://www.fomecc.org/), a new website, available in Spanish, English and French, aimed at providing information and useful tools for this sector, with a special focus on Spain, Latin America and Africa.
From here, we offer the FOMECC Portal to cultural organizations, educational institutions and cultural and creative industries professionals as a platform for the dissemination of information and resources in order to strengthen this sector. About the FOMECC Portal:

The FOMECC Portal, supported by the Ministry of Culture, is developed in the context of the Promotion of Cultural and Creative Industries  (FOMECC) Program carried out in Colombia, Honduras, Niger, Peru and Senegal in collaboration with local counterparts and financial support of the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development – AECID.

FOMECC is conceived as an operational model in which cultural production is understood as an instrument for development; its aim is to contribute to the creation of a sustainable system that links arts and culture with economic, social and academic sectors.

The FOMECC Portal we preset here, apart from resources, news and links about the cultural and creative industries, includes some sections
designed to provide international visibility to different FOMECC projects activities, as well as to entrepreneurs trained trough the project and who
are included in the directory available to potential customers of their services.

We are currently programming the extension of this tool in order to create a virtual platform for the creation of networks between similar
organizations to FOMECC and synergies in the field of cultural and creative industries to generate joint activities. If you are interested in participating in this initiative, do not hesitate to contact pgarcia@interarts.net.
