Helsinki is the World Capital of Design 2012 and it is a magnificent chance for designers to take part in the grand event. The founder of ÖÖ, Merilyn Kesküla, has been curating Nordic projects in London Design Festival 2010 and she will be the curator of the Emerging Talent showcase during London Fashion Week 2012.  Her projects showcase new avant-garde design, works based on strong traditional roots combined with the cutting–edge techniques and hearty craftsmanship.

The development of innovative design facilitates opportunities for Nordic approach. It supports the growth of the industry, develops the Nordic brand and gives wider background for the cool regional design ideas.

The Estonian Embassy in London is delighted to work with Merilyn Kesküla. We are looking forward to our next collaboration for London Fashion Week 2012 and hope it will be a great success.
