Take part in European online survey of cultural and creative sectors

As a part of a larger study, a European online survey targeting organizations in the cultural and creative sectors will be running from January 29th to mid-March 2013. The aim of the survey is to get a unique insight into the financing needs and access to finance of the diverse palette of cultural and creative organizations across Europe.

To get a more accurate view on the market potential of a guarantee facility for the Cultural and Creative Sectors (CCS), the European Commission has commissioned IDEA Consult, in collaboration with Ecorys NL, to collect data on the structure of the cultural and creative sectors in Europe, on the financing needs of CCS organizations and on the lending behaviour of banks towards the CCS. This information will allow the European Commission to make an accurate, sector specific estimation of the financial gap for the cultural and creative sectors in Europe.

To adequately meet this goal, IDEA Consult and Ecorys NL, in association with Piet Callens of CultuurInvest as main financial expert, will combine information from the online survey with information from secondary databases, literature and interviews with financial institutions and experts. The study will be finished by the end of July 2013. The final report will be made available online.
