05. jaanuar, 2012

tallinn-music-weekTallinn Music Week festival will take place for the fourth time on 29-31 March 2012. It’s a showcase festival that aims to present the most exciting Estonian and regional talent to international music industry and press as well as to the local audiences, music companies and organizations.

With the support of good partners European Capital of Culture Tallinn 2011, Nordic Hotel Forum and Skype the festival has achieved international recognition while representing up-and-coming Estonian talent at festivals all over Europe and providing a useful platform to international talent for accessing our region’s market and getting connected to the local music industry. The facts that TMW Skype Award winner 2011 Ewert and the Two Dragons has toured Europe in the last six months with more than 30 concerts at clubs and festivals like Popkomm, Waves Vienna, Musiikki & Media and is confirmed to perform at Eurosonic in January, has started cooperation with The Agency Group in the USA, and that the TMW Skype Award winner 2010 Iiris has signed a recording contract with EMI this June, resulting in the first single of her 2012 debut album to be released on 9 December, prove that Estonian music is successfully reaching international audiences and the festival has become a useful tool in helping artists and managers to get plugged into the international industry circles.

The annual music industry conference and music showcase for Estonian and international talent attracts around 200 international music industry players and relevant companies and organizations from the Baltic region, thereby giving all artists in the line-up a chance to get noticed by festivals, record labels, agencies, publishers and both international and local media.
