The Baltic Scene – a global premier of the English langued webmagazine covering the Baltic music scene

The Baltic SceneOn March 31st the first version of the English langued webmagazine covering the Baltic music scene was launched at www.thebalticscene.eu. The content of the magazine is dynamic and includes the most up-to-date information about the music in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

 

The magazine consists of interviews, album reviews, evens calendar and artist spotlights.

Natalie Mets, the head of The Baltic Scene, explains:”The amount of music talent in the Baltics is mindblowing. And what´s even more staggering is the fact that this gift seems to be a well-kept regional secret. We want to change that by building a bridge not only between the music scenes of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, but also international media. The Baltic Scene will become the key to the Baltic music treasury on an international scale!”

The magazine aims to provide the reader with the most up-to-date information about the music scenes in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Among the first stories the readers will discover an interview with Dr.Kristjan Kalm from The Cambridge University, whose album  won the title of the best electronic album at Estonian Music Awards gala in 2005;  a review of the debut album of the dream-pop band Zebra Island (I Love You rec 2013); an overview  of the 16 year old Lithuanian beatmusic prodigy Napo and a guide of the fifth Tallinn Music Week festival taking place on 4. – 6. April.

The webmagazine is one part of the export- and marketing platform which also includes a radioprogram, an agency and a concertsystem.
