Berlin Design Selection 2013: Call for submissons to present Berlin design in Asia and America
In the future the state of berlin will represent its design scene in foreign markets Under the newly established brand „Berlin Design Selection“ The brand was founded by the Landesinitiative Projekt Zukunft and the Berlin Senate Department for Economics,Technology. Dynamo Design Berlin e.V. in cooperation with DMY Berlin will organize the representation abroad.
The focus of these represenations will be to open up new markets for design businesses connecting them withproducers, distributers and trade companies. The „Berlin Design Selection“ tour will stop at the most important design fairs and festivals in Asia and America from August until December and show a selection of objects, products and prototypes made in Berlin or designed by Berlin designers.

The presentation at festivals and fairs will be accompanied by massive communicaton measures. Next to a sales catalogue the new website (www.berlin-design-selection.com) will hold all relevant information about the designers and their products year round and create an exciting insght into the Berlin Design Scene for anyone interested internationally.
On facebook (www.facebook.com/BerlinDesignSelection) we will promote the designers, their products and the stops of the tours and classic public relations aimed at local and international press will make sure the „Berlin Design selection“ does not go unnoticed.
On behalf of the Landesinitiative Projekt Zukunft we invite all Berlin design studios, all designers and design producers to showcase their work on these important platforms in America and Asia.

Please add a short cv, a description and photos of the projects you want to show and a short description of your current distribution channels. Also let us know please wether the exhibit will be a prototype or a tradeable product with which you can guarantee professional export conditions.
The Landesinitiative Projekt Zukunft and the structural fond EFRE contribute the sum of € 170.000.-. to the costs of the „Berlin Design Selection „Tour through America and Asia.The designer´s contribution is expected to be 300€ per station.
