Winners 2011
The Great Indoors is an initiative by Marres (centre for contemporary culture), Bureau Europa (Platform for Architecture), and FRAME magazine. Projects will be selected and honoured in four categories: Show & Sell, Relax & Consume, Concentrate & Collaborate and Serve & Facilitate. The jury is formed by Edouard François, Beatrice Galilee, Fabrizio Gallanti, Christien Meindertsma and Lyndon Neri. Every category winner will receive a monetary prize of € 5.000. Among last edition’s (2011) winners are Dutch, Japanese and Australian architects, and many of the winning projects are collaborations between architects and graphic designers for instance. Check out these winners here.

Education
A special aspect of The Great Indoors is their educational program. Each edition, students from Dutch and international schools follow several workshops where they work on assignments for ‘real’ clients at ‘real’ locations. Under the guidance of a mentor they finish the assignment, and on November 16th – day after the award ceremony – a Design route will be organized along all the projects that came forth from the workshop program.

Additional information
The award show will take place on November 15th in Maastricht, the Netherlands. More information is available on the Great Indoors website.
