DME award 2013 now open for entries!
The only European award dedicated to the management of design, the Design Management Europe Award, is now open for entries. The DME Award recognises successful design management strategies and demonstrates the (commercial) benefits that can be gained with good design management practices. The winners of the seventh edition of DME will be announced in early December in Katowice, Poland at a ceremony hosted by Design Silesia.
Winning a DME Award means being recognised by an international jury of design management experts assessing design strategies against criteria of leadership, innovation, co-ordination and results. Companies and organisations from all European countries are challenged to apply for a DME Award. Previous winners of the DME Award, including Beiersdorf (Germany), Virgin Atlantic (UK), Vestel (Turkey), GMG (the Netherlands) and Viteo Outdoors (Austria), all represent highly innovative organisations where design plays an integral part of their operation.
Award procedures
Companies and organisations can apply for the DME Award by submitting a digital poster via the DME website, illustrating how design is integrated into their organisation and processes to achieve strategic gains. Categories for the award cover all businesses and organisations; from micro companies to multi-nationals, service and manufacturing sectors, public agencies and non-profit organisations. Deadline for application is September 30th, 2013.
